The main MC for last Saturday’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards [VGMA], Kwami Sefa Kayi says he is uncomfortable with the concealed carry of a handgun by dancehall artiste, Livingstone Etse Satekla aka Stonebwoy.
He described the "Kpo K3k3" hitmaker as an “emotional” person – and said his possession of a firearm, whether legally or otherwise, is “dangerous.”
“This is not the first time he [Stonebwoy] has pulled a gun in public. The police should revoke his permit to carry a concealed weapon. He doesn’t have the emotional stability balance to be a gun owner. Take the gun from him,” he said in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’.
The Chairman-General, as he is affectionately called, who compèred the event with Berla Mundi of GhOne TV, also revealed that he was scared to the marrow when violence broke out between Bhimnation supporters of Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale's Shatta Movement (SM) fans at the VGMA event.
According to him, "anything could have happened" considering how tensed the environment was and the display of a handgun by one of the factions in the ensuing confusion at the Fantasy Dome, further heightened the tension.
