Most of these young women also chase and trap these 'big' men so they enter into relationships with them. The aim of the women is to get as much money from the men to finance their lifestyles and also get jobs through the network of the men. Let us stop creating the impression that the women are victims. Most of them are rather opportunists. It is a few who are taken advantage of against their will and desire and succumb due to job opportunities they seek. So as we condemn the act of the 'big men'. Let us in equal measure condemn young opportunistic ladies. Ladies who have never worked but are happy driving expensive cars. Ladies who are undertaking their national service, yet live in expensive rented apartment. Ladies who have just secured jobs at low levels and are now building their work experience but live like people who have worked for 15-20 years and even look after their entire families. Let us condemn that too.
Most of the so called 'big men in Ghana' do this, without any consequences. In some places, a person can easily be fired for s-l-ee-p-ing with a subordinate staff, not to talk of asking the subordinate for 's--e--x' to keep their job or before they will be employed. It is sad how most Ghanaian men in places of power have turned job opportunities into 's--e--x' for work. Such a 'S-H-A-M-E' for a nation where leaders have turned our young women (our young mothers) into indirect 's--e--x' s--l-a-v-e-s.
