Veteran actor Super O.D., born Asonaba Kweku Darko, is well and alive, contrary to news reports that he has died after a short battle with health related complications.
Super O.D. Tuesday morning told Kofi Kum Bilson on Peace FM that several radio stations had called to interview him following the false media alarm that he had passed away Tuesday morning.
The 78 years old was a member of the now defunct hit drama group Osofo Dadzie, whose celebrated membership included Fred Addai, Kwadwo Kwakye, SK Oppong, Osofo Dadzie, Mercy Offei and Akua Boahemaa, all of blessed memory.
Super O.D, born on 12th of January, 1935 is a native of Agona Swedru in the Central Region, and had since childhood nursed the desire to be a policeman but had to abandon that dream after he was rejected twice when he tried to enlist.
Only last year he expressed disgust at another radio pronouncement that he had passed away.
