Versatile and experienced Radio Presenter, Ekow Poncho has resigned from the Airport-based Breeze 90.9 fm owned by Kojo Antwi who also doubles as the President of GHAMRO according to Flex Newspaper.

Ekow Poncho joined Breeze fm in November 2013 and apart from the fact that he was the Presenter in charge of the station’s Late Afternoon show dubbed Taataa and Showbiz Today, an entertainment discussion show, Ekow Poncho was the station’s Programmes Manager. Flex Newspaper can confidently confirm that Ekow Poncho’s association with Breeze fm officially came to an end on May 17, 2016 when he tendered in his resignation letter.

It’s not too clear what the reasons could be for Ekow Poncho’s resignation but a reliable source at Breeze Fm has hinted to Flex Newspaper that Ekow Poncho decided to leave Breeze fm as he wasn’t happy about recent happenings and developments at the Airport-based Radio station. When Flex Newspaper got in touch with Ekow Poncho in an exclusive interview, he confirmed his resignation from Breeze fm but declined to give specific reasons for his resignation and noted that the reasons are personal.

When asked to confirm if he is indeed heading to Koforidua-based Bryt 99.1 Fm, Ekow Poncho only noted that his future in radio is very ”bryt” as he leaves Breeze 90.9fm and prepares for his new role at a different radio station. He also noted that very soon his fans would have the opportunity to listen to him at a different radio station and did not specify exactly when that would be.
However, efforts to get in touch with Kojo Antwi proved futile as at the time of going to press.
