Burial takes place at the Awudome Cemetery today of Alhaji Adama Tettey, who died in Accra yesterday after a protracted illness. He left behind seven children, three males and four females.
The late Alhaji Adama Tettey, 72, was a notable boxing manager and promoter, whose Good Luck Promotions handled some of the outstanding national title fights in the 80s and 90s.
Among great boxers and national champions that he had managed and promoted were Graphic Pride, Daniyal Mustapha (now deceased), Annoh �Pajero� Amissah, C.A. Kpakpo, Douglas �Bonecrusher� Odame (also deceased) and Nigerian Simon Peter McIntosh.
According to a family spokesman, Alhaji Adama Tettey died at the Kaneshie Cocoa Clinic yesterday morning and by Muslim tradition his mortal remains would be interred by 1.00 p.m. today.
