Emmanuel “Game Boy” Tagoe, will on Saturday, February 23, go into the ring at the Bukom Boxing Arena, against Vyacheslav Gusev from Russia for the World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Global and International Boxing Federation (IBF) International Lightweight titles.

It is obviously one of the biggest tests for the Ghanaian, who has fought almost all his fights with the exception of one in Ghana and it is expected to draw many fans to the arena since it will be the last fight by Tagoe in Ghana.

Tagoe, who has 29 fights to his credit, with just a defeat, would be seeking to give Ghanaians, a perfect good gift parting gift, with a sound victory over the Russian.

The Russian comes with rich experience as well and this represents a major challenge to his career having 25 fights with five defeats.

With plans to relocate to the United States of America (USA) after this match, Tagoe, is bent on making it past the Russian to realise his dreams of annexing a world title.

Also on the bill, is highly rated fans favourite, Bastie Samir, who would take on Raoul Lokossou of Benin.

Samir, former skipper of the Black Bombers, who knocked out loud mouth Bukom Banku in the biggest fight in recent times, has promised to put up another good show on the night.

Bastie noted that he would consider working with a vibrant and active promotions outfit who can help him to realize his dream of becoming a world champion.

“I want to be the first big weight to win a world title for Ghana. I believe in myself that I would take the world title one day,” he expressed.

Mr. Abraham Neequaye, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Baby Jet Promotions said, the fight would be used to expose many young boxers and also grant the opportunity for a world title challenge.
