HFC Bank pledges support for Golf development

The Managing Director of HFC Bank, Mr Asare
Akuffo, has assured his outfitís unflinching support to the
development and promotion of golf across the country.

Mr Akuffo said this at the HFC Bankís Invitational Golf
Tournament held on Friday at the Bok Nam Kim Golf Course, at the Burma
Camp oval in Accra.

Mr Akuffo said golf serves as a form of exercise and well-being
of the participants for those people who usually have busy schedules
and cannot engage in sporting events.

He said the objective of the tournament was to provide a platform
for the customers of the Bank to stay healthy, interact and exchange
ideas.

In the Menís category A division, William Hackman emerged winner
with a net score of 57 with Group Captain Gyima Kwakye and Larry
Gbevlo-Lartey following in that order with 63 points and 65 points
respectively.

The Managing Director rated the event a success and promised that
they would continue to support the promotion of the sport in the
country.

Nick Amarteifio was crowned winner in the Menís Category B after
a net score of 63 points followed by Omane Bimpong at the second
position after returning a score of 67 points and Frank Ntim, on the
third position on 69 points.

In the Womenís division, Aku Yaba came tops with a net score of
65 points with Aku Dovlo placing second with 74 points and Eunice
Adzakpo coming third on 78 points.

The winners were presented with plagues for their efforts.
Larry Gbevlo-Lartey, Captain of the Bok Nam Kim Golf Course
commended the financial institution for the sponsorship of the
tournament whilst urging them to take advantage of branding
opportunities available at the Course.

The one-day event drew participation from over 40 golfers.
