ACCRA HEARTS of Oaks resolve to hold on to top striker Edwin Osei Pele, for next soccer season, is being seriously threatened. The prolific goal scorer is hotly being pursued by three leading clubs in the country, Daily Guide Sports can state.
New Edubiase and Medeama SC are said to have written to Hearts of Oak with regard to the availability of the player. Ashantigold FC is also lurking behind the scenes in the hope of beating the other two clubs for the signature of Pele.
It was gathered that both New Edubiase and Medeama SC have secretly opened talks with Pele. The Hearts striker is yet to make a decision about his future. Pele started his career with Hearts of Oak on a flashy note, emerging as top striker in the GHALCA Top 4 tournament.
Later, off the field incidents saw him being suspended and missing key matches for Hearts in the process. Hearts recently pardoned Pele who is reported to be in great shape and ready to torment defenders next season.
