Ghana striker Prince Tagoe has been handed an escape route by Turkish side Bursaspor by signing a three-year contract, according to Ghanasoccernet.com.

The 24-year-old joins from German Bundesliga outfit TSG Hoffenheim where he struggled to find his scoring form. But he proved his credentials by netting 12 times in all competitions for Serbian champions Partizan Belgrade, a club he joined on loan in January.

Tagoe returned to Hoffenheim this season and impressed on pre-season but head coach Holger Stanislawski could not hand him cameo appearances in their Bundesliga.

The Ghana international had one-year left on his contract after moving from Saudi side Al Ettifaq for three years in June 2009. Tagoe had been linked with Swiss side FC Basel and Major League Soccer side Seattle Sounders but his high wages put the latter off.

He is now in camp with the Black Stars preparing for a 2012 Nations Cup qualifier against Swaziland today before engaging Brazil in London on 5 September. Bursaspor finished third in the Turkish Super Lig last term but were eliminated by Anderlecht in the Europa League play-offs.
