A FORMER Premier League star being hunted by Interpol has spent ļæ½14,000 in casinos and strip clubs in a week, it was claimed last night.
Savio Nsereko, 22 ļæ½ who cost West Ham ļæ½9million in 2009 but played just one game ļæ½ went missing from his Italian club last week. His family contacted Interpol, which issued an alert. There is no suggestion he has committed any offence.
The Sun can reveal that Nsereko has been ferried around Liverpool nightspots with a pal by cab driver Amir Ali over the past week.
The Ugandan-born German player ļæ½ who told the cabbie he had blown ļæ½14,000 ļæ½ borrowed ļæ½400 from Mr Ali, using his passport as "surety". Nsereko also took Mr Ali to a cash machine and showed him a bank account with more than ļæ½130,000 in credit ļæ½ claiming he could not access it. But Nsereko, who plays for Juve Stabia, then avoided the driver.
Mr Ali said: "I couldn't believe it when I found out he'd checked out of his hotel and gone to Manchester."
EX-West Ham defender Manuel Da Costa, 25, was yesterday cleared of groping a woman in a nightclub. But he was fined ļæ½1,000 at Snaresbrook Crown Court for slapping her in the face. The judge ordered him to pay ļæ½250 compensation to the victim.
