Eight Ghanaian referees have answered call-ups for this weekends CAF continental matches.
Information gathered by GNA Sports indicates the octet will be in action in both the premier continental club championship, CAF Champions League and the second-tier CAF Confederation Cup.
The information will serve some good news for Ghanaian match officials after being snubbed by the continental body for the recent African Youth Championship in Algeria.
The matches involved are the CAF Champions League 1/16th round second leg clash between Malian champions, Djoliba and Saint Georges of Ethiopia in Bamako.
For that match, William Agbovi will be at the helm, assisted by Alidu Salif Malik and David Laryea with Cecil Fleischer serving as the fourth official.
In Banjul, where Gambian torchbearers Gamtel lock horns with Club Sportif Sfaxien of Tunisia in a 1/16 th round of the CAF Confederation Cup, Thomas Nunoo will direct affairs from the middle. He will be assisted by Ibrahim Adam Badiu and Ashitey Armah with Seidu Bomison as the fourth official.
The octet is expected to leave for their various bases on Thursday, April 4 ahead of the matches at the weekend.
