The immediate-past Black Stars Coach Kwesi Appiah has pledged financial support to Mama Frema, widow of the late Kwadwo Baah-Wiredu.
The widow of the late Sports Minister, in a chat with Kwame Adinkra of Angel FM in Kumasi, wept over adverse poverty after the demise of her husband.
Mama Frema, who was filled with emotions during the chat, was thrown into tears, ending the interview abruptly.
Kwesi Appiah, who was listening to the interview, felt sorry for the wife of the late politician, and called the host of the show to offer assistance to the widow.
Kwesi Appiah, who did not disclose the full package of his largesse to the lady, called the host off air.
Kwame Adinkra afterwards made the announcement saying, The ex-Ghana coach said he was weeping for the widow in his room.
On behalf of the widow, Kwame Adinkra thanked Kwesi Appiah for his quick response to help the wife of the late Mr Baah-Wiredu.
