Herbert Addo has paid glowing tribute to his players for playing pivotal roles, which helped them to swiftly improve the dwindling fortunes of Kumasi, Asante Kotoko in the just ended season.
Herbert Addo took over the Kotoko coaching job from Isaac Boateng aka Opeele at a time when the club was uncharacteristically placed at the eighth position on the league ladder.
However, some few days after taking over, the experienced coach transformed Kotoko into a formidable side, which conquered its opponents with little ease, finishing second on the League table in the process.
They were mostly on equal points with Hearts of Oak till the last round of matches. In an interview with DAILY GUIDE, Coach Addo commended his players for being disciplined and playing according to his instructions, stressing that this helped Kotoko to move from the doldrums into limelight.
He was also grateful to the technical staff as well as the management team for their unflinching support, which he affirmed contributed significantly to Kotokos improvement in the league. He also revealed that it was due to the unflinching support, even in times of trouble by the Kotoko fans, which had assisted them in securing the second spot on the League behind rivals Hearts.
