Getafe midfielder Derek Boateng has been added to the Ghana team ahead of Sundays 2010 joint Nations Cup and World Cup qualifier against Sudan.
Derek steps in as Black Stars striker Prince Tagoe is excused from the team as he resolves pertinent matters with club side, TSG Hoffenheim in his bid to have his players license restored.
The Getafe player took part in Thursday mornings training.
Dereks last playing time with the senior national team was in 2007 when he featured in a friendly against Brazil.
He missed the chance to play a part in Ghanas 2010 World Cup double-header in June due to a shoulder injury picked up while playing for former club, FC Koln in the Bundesliga.
Ghana sit top of Group D, five points clear of the second-placed team in the qualifiers and are seeking to reach a second successive World Cup finals.
