Ghana captain Andre Dede Ayew is a major doubt for Friday's Fifa World Youth Championship final against Brazil due to a niggling ankle injury.
Dede,18, who has been impressive in the Black Satellites progress to the grande finale, received the knock in Tuesday's semi-final clash against Hungary.
The nimble-footed midfielder was clicked by goalkeeper Peter Galuscki as he intercepted a back pass to tee up Dominic Adiyiah to score Ghana's first goal.
Ayew was substiuted by head coach Sellas Tetteh in the 75th minute and was furious with himself; doubting his fitness level for the final match.
He sat out Wednesday's training session and had iced-cubes tied around his ankle for the entire duration at the Petrosport Stadium in Cairo. The medical team will take a final decision on his availability by the close of today.
