German-based midfielder Adwoa Bayor has lost the captaincy of Ghana's female national team according to new coach EK Edusei.
Bayor signed for Women's Bundesliga outfit FF USV Jena in January and has is said to be on her way of the national team after more than a decade of service.
Defender Aminatu Ibrahim was voted new Captain by her team mates in camp after heiress apparent Florence Okoe also left for Germany.
Bayor, 29, was voted Africa's best female footballer in 2003 and was named in the FIFA All-Stars team for a friendly against China in 2007. She was also nominated for the World Female Footballer of the Year in 2007.
