Ghana's Under-17 team will partake in this year's Gradisca Tournament in Italy which is restricted to youth sides of clubs.
Ghana's appearance was facilitated by local football management firm, Atlas Sports Management.Atlas Sports decided to hand the slot to the national Under-17 team, the Black Starlets, due to the nation's rich youth football development policy.
"The Satellites triumph at the Fifa Under-20 World Cup was the last thing to convince the organizers of the tournament about the quality of Ghanaian youth footballers," Atlas Sports Chief Executive Oliver Arthur told Graphic Sports.The Ghana Football Association has agreed to play in the tournament later in April.
