In a latest twist, the Ghana Football Association has announced the Black Stars will play Eastern European side Bosnia and Herzegovina in a World Cup preparatory match next month in Sarejevo.
The Ghana FA early this week confirmed an agreement as been reached with South American World Cup finalists Paraguay for an international friendly on 03 March. Last month, the Mbombela Municipality announced Bosnia and Herzegovina had replaced Uruguay who withdrew from playing the Black Stars as part of activities to open a newly-built 46,000-seater.
Bosnia and Herzegovina are expected to provide Milovan Rajevac's side the needed test before their Group D opener against Serbia on 13 June. Dreaded striker Edin Dzeko of Wolfsburg should be available to test Ghana's backline ahead of the finals. Ghana will also play Australia and Germany in the Group stage at the World Cup finals.
