Egypt-based Ghana striker Eric Bekoe says has recovered from a recurrent knee injury that has kept him out of action for eight months but will not play any part in Petroject’s season.

The 23-year-old former Asante Kotoko goal poacher has completed his rehabilitation after he concluded checks on his knee in London.

Doctors have ruled him out of action till the end of the season despite recovering in time before the Egyptian League concludes on 15 July.

Petroject do not want to risk the Ghana international.

He told GHANAsoccernet.com: ”I will start training at the gym today and I’m highly relieved but I will not play the remaining matches in the league.”

”The past few months have been difficult especially when you have to watch the games from the stands but I don’t want to risk my recovery like it happened in the past and that how I have to miss the season.”
