Assistant men's senior national team coach, Kwesi Appiah has been tasked to head the Olympic team in an acting capacity.
Appiah, takes over from David Duncan and would oversee Ghana's two-leg tie against Nigeria in the qualifying for the 2011 All Africa Games, scheduled for Mozambique later in September.
His maiden assignment against Nigeria would determine which side qualifies over two legs for the Games.
The position of assistant coach of the Black Meteors is still been held by Maxwell Konadu.
Ghana plays Nigeria for the qualification ticket from Zone III to participate at the games with the Black Meteors going away first on the weekend of 24-26 June, 2011.
