Olympique Marseille coach Didier Deschamps says getting Ghanaian prodigy Jordan Ayew to extend his contract remains one of his topmost priorities.
Jordan, 19, has only one year left on his running contract with the French giants and has already been eyed by stellar European clubs.
Deschamps says he will supervise the development of the talented midfielder in the upcoming season but will have to get him to extend his contract with the club first.
He has taken some steps. He still remains to be overcome. He has yet to be built in his head but he has good potential, Deschamps said.
He will be one of six strikers that I have with all our competitions, it will not be too many.
We will make sure he can extend his contract because he has only one more year. It is a priority to address.
Jordan made 22 appearances and scored twice for Marseille last season.
