Ghana new boy Albert Adomah says he feels a bit nervous in the build-up to Friday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Swaziland.

The in-form Bristol City winger could be handed his debut at the Accra Sports Stadium after impressing head coach Goran Stevanovic ahead of this month’s washed-out friendly against Nigeria.

The 23-year-old who is hoping to land a starting role has admitted to feeling nervous with the prospect of playing before a packed Accra Sports Stadium in mind.

“Obviously I am nervous because it’s my first time training with the first team here in Ghana and I have got a lot more butterflies with prospect of playing before a packed crowd here in Ghana in mind,” Adomah exclusively told GHANAsoccernet.com

“Hopefully if I do play it will be in front of the home crowd so I am really looking forward to it,” he said.

“It has always been my ambition to play for Ghana and the fact of playing in front of the home crowd makes it even more special.”

Adomah was on target over the weekend for his Npower Championship side in their 1-1 draw with Doncaster Rovers.
