Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari has defended his form at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations after some unimpressive showings in the tournament.
In the recent 2-0 win over Mali, the Inter Milan ace was replaced on 59 minutes by debutant Charles Takyi after struggling to impress head coach Goran Stevanovic as a left-winger.
The 27-year-old has been on the fringes at club level but has been a favourite of the Serbian trainer.
When asked whether his performance was dipping, Muntari replied: No. I have been training hard since we came here (Gabon).
The coach wanted to make changes. He is the boss and he decided what to do.
Muntari is making his third appearance at the Nations Cup finals.
Ghana will play Guinea in their last group game on Wednesday and a draw will see them topping Group D.
