Striker Stephen Manu says he can fill the void that has been created by the exit of Hearts attacking midfielder Uriah Asante.

Asante confirmed his departure from the capital-based side after the expiration of his season’s long loan.

The 19-year-old is expected to cross carpet to join Hearts next season.

Many Hearts fans fear the exit of the Pure Joy enforcer could hurt the ambition of the team next season.

But the New Edubiase lanky attacker who has long being linked with the 2000 African Champions believes he can arrest the situation.

“My contract with Edubiase came to an end this season. But I want to help them win the FA cup before I decide my future,” Manu told Kumasi-based Fox FM

“A lot of clubs have been speaking to me but I have told them to hold on until the completion of the FA cup.

“At the end of the season, fans will get to know where I will be playing: either I will remain at Edubiase or move somewhere.

“Hearts, Kotoko and Ashantigold are all interested. If I decide to play for Hearts that will not be a big deal because I believe I can handle the pressure.

“It will not be a big deal to step the footsteps of some of the players who I am told are leaving the club.

“Uriah plays in a different position but all the same he’s more attacking minded. I believe I can do the job.”
