Ghana FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi says Sulley Muntari will be sorely missed as the country fights to qualify for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
Nyantakyi wants Ghanaians to pray for the speedy recovery of the AC Milan star who has been ruled out of action for six months. Muntari tore a knee ligament while playing with friends while on holidays in Accra last month.
Nyantakyi is wishing the player well insisting he will be missed by his country while he is recovering from the injury. We are wishing him a speedy recovery. We pray that he recovers very fast to return the national team, Nyantakyi said. He is very useful member of our team and he will be sorely missed while he is on the sidelines.I urge all Ghanaians to pray for him to recover to return to action.
Muntari was the captain of the Black Stars during last months World Cup qualifiers in the absence of John Mensah.
