Black Stars left-back Richard Kissi Boateng has joined DR Congo outfit TP Mazembe on a five-year deal.
A statement of the official website of the four-time African champions confirmed that Kissi Boateng inked the deal last week after fruitful negotiations with his parent club, Berekum Chelsea.
The former midfielder Berekum Chelsea has signed a five-year contract with TP Mazembe and will play in the CAF Champions League, the Congolese club stated.
The 24-year old, currently with the Black Stars in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on a training tour for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations becomes the fourth Ghanaian to join the Lubumbashi-based club. The deal will serve a major boost to the defender, who will be making his bow at the Africa Cup of nations later this month in South Africa.
Last week, Les Corbeaux snapped up Asante Kotoko right-back Yaw Frimpong also on a five-year deal.
The other two Ghanaians with the DR Congo champions are Gladson Awako (formerly of Berekum Chelsea) and former Asante Kotoko midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei, who joined last year.
