Black Stars goalkeeper Fatau Dauda says he is grateful to the organisers of this years National Players Award for nominating him for the Most Valuable Black Stars Player Award category.
The shot-stopper said he is confident of winning the accolade.
The AshantiGold last man of defence is competing for the prestigious accolade alongside his Black Stars team-mates Rabiu Mohammed and Mubarak Wakaso.
The 26-year-old put off an excellent performance at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations at South Africa, where he nicked one man-of-the-match award.
I was very happy when I heard that I was nominated for the award but I will first thank God and those who gave me the opportunity to showcase what I can do and also to Ghanaians for their prayers and support, he tells Goal Ghana.
Dauda, however, says he is confident of winning the award even though, any of the three players nominated stands the chance of winning it.
I have the confidence that I can win it but God knows best, so lets wait till the day of the awards to see what will come out because the three of us are capable of winning the award.
Daudas exploits at the 2013 Afcon have seen him dethroned Stromsgodset shot-stopper Adam Kwarasey as the first choice keeper of the Black Stars.
