Former Asante Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu has been appointed the new head coach of the home-based national team.
The deputy coach of the senior national team will be assisted by Dauda Luttrodt to prepare for the 2014 Championship for African Nations (CHAN) which will be hosted by South Africa.
Konadu has replaced his Black Stars boss Kwesi Appiah who has been relieved of that duty for him to focus on Ghanas 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
There is no doubt that building a team as the local team is quite a challenging one and it will take one with such a varied background as Konadu to take up such a responsibility, so after carefully considering all the options, he has been handed the job and will be assisted by Dauda Lutterodt, Local Black Stars management chairman Fred Pappoe said.
Ghana have qualified to the finals after their opponents Benin withdrew from the eliminators.
The 2014 Championship for African Nations (CHAN) to be played from 11 January to 1 February.
