Ghana legend Abedi Pele has paid glowing tributes to former South Africa President Nelson Mandela who passed away on Thursday night.
Mandela who had been battling a lung infection for the past three months passed on at age 95 at his home in Houghton in Johannesburg.
Several world leaders and influential personalities have since been sending messages of condolence for the man widely credited for leading South Africa out of apartheid rule.
Abedi Pele who worked closely with �Madiba� in winning the 2010 World Cup bid for South Africa describes the deceased as �the total human being� whom he learnt a lot from.
�He (Mandela) had everything,� the former Black Stars captain told GHANAsoccernet.com.
�He had achieved so much in his career and at the same time was so down to earth and humble.
�He is the total human being and I learnt a lot from him especially during our bid to host the World Cup for the first time in Africa.
�He is a great man with a lot of charisma and even though he lived to the fullest it feels sad to have such a man go.�
