Ghana head coach James Kwesi Appiah feels Fatau Dauda’s decision to leave South African side Orlando Pirates over lack of activity could be a right decision.

The 28-year-old has declared his intention to leave the Buccaneers to save his international career after failing to secure playing time at the club.

Dauda has been advised to quit the Absa Premier Soccer League side for a club where he can find regular action.

However the former AshGold keeper has told Accra-based Oman FM Pirates head coach Roger De Sa has assured him of a place at the club.

But Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah feels it will be in place for Dauda to leave for a club where he can play regularly.

“In January most players will be seeking to leave to clubs where they can play more for their club. I think if he decides to leave on that score it will not be bad,” he told Accra-based Oman FM.

The 54-year-old has stated that only active players will have places in his squad for the 2014 World Cup finals.
