Ex-Ghana international and now assistant coach of Amidaus Professionals Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo wants to become the first female president of the Ghana Football Association.

She wants to follow in the footsteps of Burundi’s Lydia Nsekera and recently elected Sierra Leone FA president Isha Johansen.

“The next thing on my mind is to become the FA President,” the ambitious sportswoman told CampioneSports.net.

“Anytime I finish one step, I make sure before I move to the second step, I have already done what will push me to the second step.

“So, when I was a footballer, I planned to become a referee and as soon as I finished the refereeing, I decided to go into coaching.”

Tagoe-Quarcoo retired as a footballer after featuring at the 2003 FIFA Women’s World Cup in USA.

She then ventured in refereeing before quitting in May 2012 and has since picked up a CAF License B Coaching Certificate.
