The Wafu champions are bracing up for a difficult challenge against the debutants at the Free State Stadium.

Finalists in the inaugural CHAN tournament, Ghana, are hoping to wipe away their abysmal campaign at the 2011 edition by staging an impressive outing this time around.

Maxwell Konaduís men are fresh from winning the 2013 Wafu championship on home soil despite a not too good performance.

The former Kotoko coach was given a late appointment to replace his Black Stars boss, Kwesi Appiah.

Apart from the Black Stars, this is the second national team he is handling in recent times after leading the Ghana U-20 menís team to seal qualification to the 2013 Africa Youth Championship.

The team is made up of eight players from the camp of Ghanaian champions and current leaders of the Ghana Premier League, Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

In fact, most of the key players in the team come from the Kotoko staple including leading scorer in the league Seidu Bancey, Jordan Opoku and Yahaya Mohammed.

New Edubiase midfielder, Asiedu Attobrah who is currently one of the hottest materials in Ghana is one other player who could make things happen for the West African powerhouse.

Meanwhile, despite Congo Brazzaville being debutants, events preceding the tournament make them look too good to be underrated.

The Red Devils beat 2009 champions, Congo DR en route to qualifying for the championship.

They can also boast of up to 10 players from the camp of 2012 Caf Confederations Cup winners, AC Leopards.

After missing the qualification spot to the World Cup play-offs to Burkina Faso by the skin of their teeth, Congo Brazzaville may have something to prove at the tournament.

Libya and Ethiopia are the other teams in Group C.
