Asante Kotoko realized GHC 114,000 ($45, 373.31) from gate proceeds in their opening CAF Champions League win over Barrack Young Controllers on Sunday.
The reigning Ghana Premier League champions however received GHC 66,000 ($26, 268.76) after all obligatory deductions were made (net).
Kotoko however failed to meet the huge expectations of their fans by recording a slim win in the first leg match of the first preliminary round.
A double from the spot by penalty expert Kwabena Edusei helped the Porcupine Warriors to the vital win.
They will however need to map out a strategy to outwit the Liberians in the return encounter this Sunday in Monrovia.
