A report released by football statistics giants Infostrada has revealed that Ghana has the youngest squad amongst all the 32 countries that will participate in the 20th FIFA World Cup in Brazil this month.
According to Infostrada, the Black Stars have an average age of 25 years and 244 days, 53 days younger than their West African neighbours Nigeria (25 years and 297 days), who have the second youngest squad.
The report also revealed that South American giants Argentina have the oldest squad with an average age of 28 years and 336 days, followed by Honduras on 28 years and 208 days and Uruguay on 28 years and 200 days.
This will be the third time Ghana go into a World Cup with the youngest squad, after Germany 2006 and South Africa 2010.
