The Ghanaian lateral defender could sign for the Royal Blue this summer, Goal understands.
Schalke 04 are in a pole position to sign Ghana international Samuel Inkoom, Goal Ghana can exclusively reveal.
The Gelsenkirchen-based club are looking for an alternative in the right-back position and have now targeted the Ghanaian player.
Scouts of Schalke watched the 25-year-old during the Netherlands-Ghana friendly and are now considering a summer swoop for him.
Inkoom is contracted to Ukrainian side Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk and has played on loan at Bastia and Platanias.
Inkoom, who featured for Ghana in the 2010 World Cup, is also on the wanted list of Olympiakos and Everton and could leave Dnipro this summer for a fee around four million Euros.
