Black Stars midfielder Andre Ayew is set to be appointed as the deputy skipper of the Black Stars as a replacement for Michael Essien after the AC Milan midfielder displayed an act of indiscipline at the Ghana World Cup in Brazil.
The decision to place the Olympique Marseille forward in the leadership position means Michael Essien may not return to the Black Stars for the next few months following his disrespect shown to the technical bench by refusing to warm-up before Ghana�s final World Cup Group G match.
Kwasi Appiah is determined to stamp out all traces of indiscipline from the Black Stars after the indefinite suspension of Kevin Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari.
Ayew, son of Ghana legend Abedi Ayew Pele has long been touted to lead the Black Stars as a skipper following in the footsteps of his father.
