Former Ghana international Mark Edusei has been handed a worldwide ban from all football-related activities by FIFA.
Edusei, on 7 May 2014, was handed a three years and six months suspension by the disciplinary committee of the Italian Football Association (FIGC) in relation to the manipulation of a match in the Italian Serie B in 2009.
However, FIFA on Monday extended Edusei's sanctions to have a worldwide effect in accordance with article 78 paragraph 1(c) and article 136 ff. of the FIFA Disciplinary Code.
The decision by the FIFA disciplinary committee have been duly notified to the respective confederations and member associations.
