Ex-Ghana head coach Emmanuel Kwasi Afranie has advised indigenous Ghanaian coaches not to apply for the vacant Black Stars job.
The head coach of the Ghana national team, James Akwesi Appiah was dismissed from his post by the Ghana Football Association based on some bizarre circumstances and has since advertised for applications to fill the vacuum created upon the sacking of the former Black Stars defender.
And since the announcement on Friday, some Ghanaian coaches are believed to have submitted their applications in search of the vacant job.
But coach Afranie who has managed all of Ghanas national teams is advising local coaches not to apply for the job because it is waste of time since the person will not be considered.
Why should local coaches attempt to apply for the job? They shouldnt even attempt to do so because its a waste of time. They did it to me when the Serbian coaches run away. He said he was going to visit the sick mother.
I was with Lions when they called me to Accra. When we do the work for them, Ghanaians are saying that were not good, so I do not see why a Ghanaian coach should apply because theyll not give it to him. We shouldnt worry. Afranie told Joy Sports.
The GFA has set September 19, 2014 as the deadline for submission of application.
