Former Accra Hearts of Oak attacker, Charles Taylor has revealed that former Youth and Sports Minister, E.T. Mensah threatened to destroy his international career if he dare signed for Asante Kotoko.
According to Taylor, the former Sports Minister and ardent fan of Accra Hearts of Oak wanted to use his position to ensure the deal which would have seen him [Charles Taylor] play for Kotoko not go through.
I agreed in principle with then [Asante] Kotoko CEO, Herbert Mensah [to sign] but E.T Mensah warned me not to join the Porcupine Warriors or risk not playing for any of the national teams, he told Shaft FM.
But I said to myself when I die and reincarnate I would play for Kotoko, Charles Taylor noted.
