Accra Hearts of Oak struggled to share points with Obuasi Ashgold in a 2-2 draw in the 16th week First Capital Plus Premier League at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday.
Ashgold, shocked the home team with a third minute goal from Yakubu Mohamed before Togolese import Foovi Aguidi equalised for Hearts in the 14th minute.
Troubled Hearts were unable to stamp their authority on the game as Ashgold dominated proceedings till the close of the first half.
The visitors assumed leadership of the game again in the second half, through Didier Kore in the 68th minute and looked to pick the three points at stake.
But Hearts were awarded a penalty during time-added-on after keeper Robert Dabuo fouled Reuben Gnagne.
Gnagne converted it for Hearts to level up.
Hearts remained 12th on the league log and will have to continue their fight against relegation in the competition.
