Accra Great Olympics tasted their second successive defeat in the second round of the First Capital plus Premier league at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday, after losing 2-3 to Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the 18th week league game.
Olympic who lost their last game against city rivals, Hearts of Oak and slumped into the relegation zone, went down in the 18th minute after Dauda Mohamed put Kotoko ahead.
The "Dade" boys equalised in the 42nd minute but failed to sustain the lead as Ahmed Toure ensured his side ended the first half in the lead.
Back from recess, Daniel Appiah levelled up for Olympics in the 53rd minute but their celebration lasted only a while as Toure was on hand again to restore Kotoko's lead in the 66th minute.
Kotoko who prior to the game lost both 16th and 17th week league games have now jumped to the 7th position, whilst Olympics is second from the bottom.
