Ghana's Andre and Jordan Ayew made their debuts in the Premier League on Saturday etched their names in history in the process. In turning out for Swansea and Aston Villa respectively, the duo became the first set of brothers to make their debuts in the English Premier League on the same day, since its inception in 1992.
There were mixed results for the two, with Andre scoring on his debut in a pulsating 2-2 draw with defending champions Chelsea, while Jordan was substituted in Villa's 0-1 win at Bournemouth. The Premier League has played host to a great number of brothers including the likes of Kolo and Yaya Toure, Gary and Phil Neville, as well as the Da Silva twins.
Jordan and Andre however have owned this piece of history, the first of many records they hope they will set during theier time in England.
