Ghana forward David Accam scored to help Chicago Fire post a resounding 3-1 win over New England in the Major League Soccer on Saturday night.
The 24-year-old cancelled out Juan Agudelo’s 31st-minute strike for the visitors after slotting the ball past New England goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth.
Accam received a pass from the midfield and took on three defenders to beat Shuttleworth at his near post to record his 10th goal of the season.
Harrison Ship and Gilberto, however, added two more goals in the 59th and 86th minutes respectively, as the home team recorded their eighth win of the season.
The former Helsingburg striker is expected to be named in the Black Stars squad for the international friendly against Canada on October 13.
