Ghana’s local Black Stars team suffered a 3-0 loss to Japan’s U23 side in an international friendly on Wednesday.
Maxwell Konadu’s side who were awful in the first half as they conceded three goals in the first 20 minutes managed to hold their counterparts in the second 45 minutes.
Midfielder Shinya Yajima opened the scoring for the hosts in the 11th minute before Cayman Togashi added the second 4 minutes later.
Yajima got his second and his side’s third in the 19 minutes to go into the break with a 3-0 advantage.
The Black Stars however recovered from their trance in the second half as they displayed some good performance.
Their impressive output in the second half could prove little to help them equalize all the three goals as the game ended in favor of Makoto Teguramori’s side.
The game was however used to raise funds for victims of an earthquake disaster that occurred in the Asian country last month.
Japan on the other hand are preparing for the upcoming Olympic games in Rio (Brazil).
