Kudjoe Fianoo has stepped down as Chief Executive of struggling Ghana Premier League champions AshantiGold.
GHANASoccernet.com understands the vibrant administrator sent his resignation letter to the board last Friday.
Fianoo, who was persuaded to stay on after steering the club to win last season’s Ghana Premier League to end a 19-year wait, has made up his mind already and will not rescind his decision.
This term, he has been severally criticized by the fans for the club’s faltering campaign which has seen them slip into the relegation zone.
Fianoo joined AshantiGold in 2009 taking over from Capt (rtd) Andy Sam, and left in 2011 when Anglogold attempted to offload the club to a strategic investor which floundered.
