Black stars midfielder Mubarak Wakaso and a delegation went to render an unqualified apology to Hon. Nii Lantey Vanderpuije after the player rained insults on the minister before Friday’s Russia 2018 world cup qualifier game against Uganda which ended goalless at the Tamale Stadium.
The former Las Pamas player is reported by Takoradi based Spice FM to have warned the Minister and calling him names before kick off.
GFA executive committee member Jones Abu Alhassan led the delegation which included Emmanuel Agyeman Badu, to say sorry to the sports minister.
The meeting took place at team’s hotel after the game around 8pm-8:30pm.

There was no need to apologise. They say if you bring ants infected fire wood don't cry when you see lizards coming to your compound. I was even surprised we drew I was expecting us to loose. With this minister in place Ghana should forget it. He is not matured and does not have any experience in sport. When one talk sport does not make him a better administrator.
THE RADICAL APPROACH TO CHANGE THINGS AT GFA BY SPORTS MINISTER WILL BACKFIRE IF HE DOES NOT TAKE CARE. AND GHANA WILL NOT QUALIFY FOR RUSSIA 2018. MISUNDERSTANDING BEFORE THE MATCH AND LOOK AT THE RESULTS.
