Former Egypt Coach Hassan Shehata is said to have reiterated his interest in the Black Stars job.
 
The 69-year-old is reported to have granted an interview with an Egyptian radio station expressing interest in the vacant position.

The veteran Coach was initially reported to be eyeing to job following remorse about Grant’s possible departure.

But the former Zamalek and Al Ahly manager has renewed his interest in the job days after Avram Grant resigned as the head Coach of the Ghana National team.

Shehata is undoubtedly the most successful Coach in the Africa Cup of Nations having led Egypt to three titles.

He supervised the Pharaohs to win the 2006, 2008 and 2010 Cup of Nations.

The Ghana Football Association are set to begin the hunt for a new Coach for the Black Stars.

Uganda Coach Milutin Sredojević and Moroccan trainer Herve Renard lead the race for the Black Stars Coaching job.

Former French star Willy Sagnol and ex-Dutch Ghanaian-born international George Boateng have all expressed interest in the job.
