Kotoko assistant Coach Godwin Ablordey has expressed his dissatisfaction about the performance of referees in the Ghana Premier League.
His comments came after his side’s 2-1 defeat to Medeama at the Takwa T&A Park on Wednesday.
Two penalties awarded by center referee Isaaka Afful dashed Kotoko’s hopes to move up to the top of the League table.
Ablordey, after the game in Takwa, questioned the competency of Ghanaian referees.
“What is happening in Ghana football is sad if this is how referees are going to officiate games,” he said in a post-match conference.
“Against Hearts of Oak there was a dubious penalty and today too he first penalty was a dubious one.
“It is sad for Ghana football but we will just forget about the defeat and move on.”
Kotoko are now third on the League table with 18 points from 10 games.
