Both Kotoko and Hearts of Oak will receive GHC50,000 each as participation fee in Ghana’s 60th independence day celebration match.
The two teams clash on May 1 at the Accra Sports Stadium in the two-legged affair.
Kotoko and Hearts of Oak were selected by the Ghana @60 celebration committee to engage in a football match to commemorate the event.
The two clubs will receive the mouth-watering amount to play in the game as organizers announced on Tuesday at the launch at the Independence square press Hall.
Kotoko will be hoping to avenge the painful 0-1 defeat suffered at the hands of their rivals in a League game last month.
Hearts of Oak on the other hand are poised to compound the woes of the Porcupine Warriors who have been unable to win in regulation time in their last six matches.
