Great Olympics Coach Tom Strand says he side deserved a point in their Ghana Premier League defeat to Tema Youth.
Olympics could not salvage a point at the Tema Park after losing 2-1 to their counterparts who took advantage of the opportunities in the game.
Abel Manomey’s equalizer for Olympics after Malik Antri had opened the score for the host was not enough as midfielder James Akaminko netted the winning goal in the second half.
Olympics could however not utilize their chances which saw them pay for their profligacy in front of goal.
Speaking in a post-match press conference, Strand said his team should have secured a point.
“I think we played well, we created good chances but is unfortante we couldn’t score, I think we were the better side we deserved to pick a point here,” he said.
“Tema Youth were very good on the day and made use of their chances, I think they punished us for failing to utilize our chances.”
The Swede is still chasing his first win with Great Olympics since taking over as head Coach.
